Ann Weiser
Ann moved to Manhattan from Ohio in 1988 with a BA in Communication with a Minor in Film from Ohio State University and 3 years of production in television commercials under her belt.
The last 22 years have been spent in cable television which include 10 years as Senior Creative Director for Showtime Networks where she lead the teams that either launched or rebranded 10 separate Showtime channels. The process required her to judge and direct the design and editorial content of all on-air and print elements. She received many Broadcast Design Awards, one of which was the coveted BDA Gold for Total Package Design.
Her last job was a challenging position as VP/Creative Director at Lifetime Television. She also freelanced as a Creative Director for USA Network and Oxygen.
Ann is currently working on a documentary film based on her thesis: Main Street and the Power of Myth. For a peek at the work-in-progress, go here: http://www.looptvandfilm.com/SVA/MythandMain/Cut3.html. She is also at work writing a design history book on kitchen tools and gadgets.
