Shax Riegler

Shax Riegler is currently writing his dissertation on the seminal literary critic, art historian, and antiques collector Mario Praz (1896-1982) for a PhD at the Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture. Prior to pursuing graduate studies, he worked as an editor and writer at several magazines, including House & Garden, Martha Stewart Living, Travel & Leisure, and Vogue. Over the last five years, he has continued to write for many publications and is a regular contributor to House Beautiful and The Magazine Antiques. He has also worked on exhibitions at the Bard Graduate Center gallery and Cooper-Hewitt museum and taught at the BGC, Bard College, Rhode Island School of Design, and Parsons. In addition, his book, Dish: 813 Colorful, Wonderful Dinner Plates, was recently published by Artisan Press.
