Aileen Kwun Named 2010 Recipient of AIGA Winterhouse Awards for Design Writing

D-Crit second-year student Aileen Kwun was announced this week as the recipient of the 2010 AIGA Winterhouse Education Award for writing (the Oscars of design writing!) for her essay, “Lady Gaga is a Machine for Dancing.” Read the winning piece online, and find more details about the fifth annual awards here.

These annual and highly selective awards, administered through AIGA, were founded by William Drenttel and Jessica Helfand of the Winterhouse Institute to recognize and encourage brilliant writing about design by American writers under 40.
